“Sky Customers Frustrated as ITVX App Skips to End of Programs”

Date:

Some Sky customers are facing an annoying issue with the ITVX app, where programs randomly skip to the end, disrupting the viewing experience. Reports of this glitch started surfacing late last week, with users frustrated by being suddenly taken to the credits without any manual input.

Users on Sky’s forum page have expressed their frustrations about the problem. One user, Dazzasky, mentioned the issue of ITV Player skipping ahead to the end of episodes, making it challenging to watch content for the past few days. Another user, Dawn, reported similar experiences of programs jumping to the end randomly, particularly at the start or after ad breaks.

The glitch seems to be affecting users with Sky’s online devices like Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it is uncertain if Sky Q is also impacted, most complaints are from those using broadband-powered gadgets rather than satellite dishes.

Despite the cause of the problem remaining unknown, a Sky employee named Kev has acknowledged the issue and assured users that they are actively working on a solution. Kev mentioned in an online post that the company is collaborating with ITV to address the problem and promised to provide updates as soon as possible.

For now, users will have to tolerate the skipping issues until a resolution is implemented. Mirror Online will continue to provide updates on the situation.
