The PDC has provided clarification regarding the audience composition at the Saudi Arabia Darts Masters following remarks made by Nathan Aspinall suggesting otherwise.
The tournament commenced recently with notable players like Luke Littler, Michael van Gerwen, and Luke Humphries participating. Aspinall also flew to the Middle East to join the competition.
After defeating Lourence Ilagan in his first match, Aspinall shared his thoughts on the ambiance, expressing that there is room for improvement. He noted that the venue seemed small and hinted that some attendees might not have been fully engaged voluntarily.
The PDC has responded to Aspinall’s comments by stating that all spectators present were enthusiastic fans. They explained that this event marked a new venture in the region, attracting many first-time live darts viewers.
Reigning world champion Littler also commented on the atmosphere, mentioning that it was quieter compared to his usual experience. Despite the subdued atmosphere, he managed to secure a victory and acknowledged the unique setting of the event.
Sky has enhanced its Ultimate TV and Sky Sports bundle by adding HBO Max, Netflix, Disney+, discovery+, and Hayu, along with 135 channels and comprehensive coverage of the Premier League, EFL, Formula 1, darts, and golf matches.
