Max Verstappen’s fortune has surged by approximately £44 million over the past year, bringing his total net worth to just below £230 million. The Red Bull Racing driver has advanced in the ranks of Quote 500, a list of the wealthiest individuals in the Netherlands, moving up to 264th place from 322nd last year.
Despite reaching 28 years old in late September, Verstappen still holds the title of the youngest person on the list, a position he has maintained since his debut in 2022. Initially entering the list as the 500th person with a net worth slightly over £105 million, which was the cut-off that year, Verstappen’s ascent through the rankings has been rapid, reaching the 428th spot a year later and then jumping up by 106 places last year.
This year’s entry threshold for the list stands just under £123 million, with one notable absence being Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk. Forbes has ranked Verstappen as the 25th highest-paid athlete globally this year, with earnings close to £59 million, primarily derived from his salary, winnings, and endorsements totaling £4.5 million.
In comparison, Lewis Hamilton holds the 22nd spot on the list, earning just over £60 million, with endorsements of £15 million pushing him ahead of Verstappen despite lower salary and winnings. Earlier in the year, the Daily Mail reported that Aston Martin offered Verstappen a massive £750 million deal to cover the remainder of his career, to which Verstappen responded by acknowledging the substantial offer.
Verstappen has confirmed his continuation with Red Bull for the upcoming season, having signed a contract extension until 2028, with reports suggesting the deal is valued at around £40 million per season. Sky has reduced the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, offering savings of £192 and over 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL, and more, including at least 215 live Premier League games next season, an increase of up to 100 more matches.
