“Study: 3 in 10 Brits Know Trump Better Than Prince Charles”

Three in 10 Brits show more familiarity with Donald Trump than with Prince Charles, a recent study revealed. A survey of 2,000 adults indicated that 30% are equally knowledgeable about American pop culture as their own. The research highlighted that 40% of the daily information consumption comes from the US, with 23% preferring Taylor Swift’s music over Dua Lipa’s.

Furthermore, nearly 10% are more informed about the romantic lives of actors Zendaya and Tom Holland than the Royal family, with this number jumping to 29% among individuals aged 18 to 24. Interestingly, 34% of the younger demographic possess more knowledge about the Kardashians than the popular TV show EastEnders.

A representative from Lottoland.co.uk, the entity behind the study conducted in conjunction with the US £520 million Powerball draw, expressed, “There is a wealth of captivating US culture easily accessible for consumption.”

“From television, movies, and music to culinary delights, the US offers a plethora of attractions that have found their way to the UK. Even political discussions are a hot topic,” the spokesperson added.

The study also unveiled that 18% watch more American television than British shows, with drama, comedy, and crime emerging as the favored US genres.

Regarding American music, pop, rock, and country genres dominate the charts, with 88% of respondents indicating an appreciation for some form of American culture in their daily British lives.

Apart from television and music, Americans enjoy US cuisine (37%), literature (24%), and sports (17%). Additionally, 15% partake in Thanksgiving celebrations in the UK, and one in 10 commemorate Independence Day on the 4th of July.

Furthermore, it was revealed that Netflix, Hollywood blockbusters, and Coca-Cola are highly regarded as the best American exports, closely followed by Rock and Roll, Disneyland, and instant coffee.

“It is difficult to imagine our country without the presence of Netflix, Hollywood films, or Coca-Cola.”
